These two cheeky Corella’s live in my area and are a constant source of joy for me. They are incredibly playful, always rolling around on top of each other, trying to squeeze into tree hollows that are away to small for them and stepping on each others tails while the other one isn’t looking. I could watch them for hours!

On this particular day they were drinking from the buds of our African Tulip tree. It’s not a native tree, in fact research is currently been done on these trees as it is believed they may kill bees. But the Corella’s love nipping the tops off the buds, throwing their heads back and sculling the liquid that is inside. They adore the seed pods too and they work together to pry the pods open.
