Equus: lessons from horses

The Equus collection is based on the profound connection between horses and humans, exploring their unique ability to positively impact our physiology and psychology (as evidenced in numerous equine therapy studies).

For decades, horses have been our humble servants, working tirelessly without complaint. It's awe-inspiring to contemplate the sheer strength and grace of these half-tonne creatures that could easily refuse our requests. Yet, their willingness to please is a testament to the extraordinary nature.

The Equus collection celebrates the extraordinary dance between humans and horses, capturing moments of cooperation, trust, and mutual understanding. Each brushstroke aims to showcase not just the physical beauty of these creatures but also the intangible connection that transcends time and circumstance.

Horses have been humble servants to us for decades. And as stewards of their well-being, we bear the responsibility to protect and serve these noble beings. As prey animals, they carry a tapestry of fears and instincts that require our patience and understanding.

Each painting in this collection seeks to challenge perceptions and ignite a deeper appreciation for these loyal, powerful creatures. Drawing inspiration directly from live horses, my artistic process allows me to document each animal’s nature authentically. By closely observing and interacting with these magnificent beings, I aim to paint a true representation of their personalities, fears and desires.
