Galahs in sunflowers

A$1,900.00

30 × 40cm original oil painting on stretched canvas (unframed).

This painting was inspired in the late afternoon sun of a local farm. The farm grew fields of sunflowers as a green crop and they granted me permission to stroll around the fields in the late afternoons to photograph the galahs and corellas that feasted on the sunflowers. This adult galah and two fledglings were such fun to watch. The two youngsters were still young and a little uncoordinated, so they would flop around and struggle to stay upright on the heavy sunflower stalks.
